  • Its been a long time...

well, I finally got around to post again.
I am in the middle of my semester, midterms. I have continued to enjoy school. I really enjoy not having tons of papers to write. I don't mind the actual writing, or typing, it is the organizing and research that drives me nuts. I just finished a paper about The Need To Protect Ours National Parks. I had not realized how much our national parks had declined. I think that it is important to maintain the parks and be responsible about how our actions affect our environments. ~If you can't tell I have been in an Environmental Science class. ~ I have rediscovered the joy of poetry. In English we went through some poems that weren't the happiest. In order to erase those sad and depressing messages I read some children's poems that were happier. I like poetry.
We will see what happens with midterms, ~ Erin

  • Back to School Again...

Well the time has come to return to school. Don't get me wrong I love QCC, but I am not crazy about the school and learning bit.   I am taking five classes again and will be taking one hour more than last semester. This will be my "everything else" semester. I am taking a Science class, a History class, a English class, a Sociology class, and an Early Childhood class. It will be interesting.

I would appreciate if you keep me in your prayers, Thanks.

    Room for dissent part 2

Well you heard Michelle's side of the story, now it is my turn.

Michelle has been collecting Dolphin figurines for a while now and has got it into her head that she wants to redo the room to fit her collection. At first I wasn't thrilled with the idea, but if she wanted it and she was willing to do the work... go ahead.

After a few months, it was close to a year, she suggested the idea again. This time she was out of college and had time to burn. I thought about it and agreed that it would be nice to redo the room. At first, I thought of a temporary solution, a room roll from work. It is a vinyl sheet that had a beach scene of sand, water, and the sky. I knew this would not be a permanent fix. She did not seem favorable to that particular idea so i let it drop.

So we were at Wal-mart and Michelle and I decided to look around for things to redo the room with. We were looking around and we came to the agreement that we needed to do the walls before we did anything else. (this is all hypothetical) When we got home Michelle looked online for different ways to do the walls. We soon discovered that she and I did not have similar ideas of what to do with the room. Since she wanted to redo it to fit her dolphin collection i thought that a room that imitated the underwater feel would be very nice, with blues, teals, and greens. She wanted the room to have the feel of a room that looked like it was in the Caribbean. Well either one would fine, but Michelle went and posted a blog that was very biased. So I wanted you to know my side of the story.

There is more but that is all for now.
